Wrestlemania 41 has to be among the most anticipated in history, with so many storylines leading up to it. Goodbye John Cena

The last 10 months have all but been a John Cena retirement tour, and there is no better way to retire than to headline Wrestlemania with a chance to become the undisputed greatest-ever champion in WWE history.

When Cena strolls out on April 20th to face current WWE champion Cody Rhodes, he will hope that he can “disappear into the sunset” with the WWE Undisputed Champion title on his back, having sealed his place in WWE lore as WWE’s greatest ever champion with his 17th world championship.

Cena fans will have to temper their expectations, however, as nostalgia merchants are campaigning to ensure Ric Flair maintains his place at the top of the pole, so expect more than usual animosity toward Cena on the day. However, the day will soon be upon us, and we will see which side gets their wish.

Heyman to Dump Roman Reigns?

Roman Reigns’ Wiseman has already sprung one surprise on the Tribal Chief by letting CM Punk into the Main Event of Night One of Wrestlemania 41, and CM Punk is yet to cash in on the favor he is owed. Could Heyman go all the way to betray Reigns and align himself with CM Punk next? Possibly even help tilt the fight in his favor, too?

Real-life friends Punk and Heyman will not surprise anyone if they align ringside – well, anyone not named Roman Reigns, who has benefitted from being able to call Paul Heyman his Wiseman for so long.

No one knows what Punk will ask for, but having held his card to his chest for so long, we expect his ask to shake at least Roman Reigns and maybe even Heyman.

Yet, there is a third possibility: Heyman aligns with Seth Rollins in a move that seems less likely, but which will undoubtedly shake every fanbase involved in the ongoing drama. Having drawn out the ask for so long, WWE could throw a spanner in CM Punk’s plans by orchestrating an alignment between Paul Heyman and Rollins.

That will surely get the fans talking, and while it may have the least fan buy-in at the moment, Seth Rollins’ hate for CM Punk is well-documented and can be a new pivot to the storyline post-Wrestlemania.

Gunther’s Invincibility Cover Breaks

Since becoming the Intercontinental Champion in 2022, WWE World Heavyweight Champion Gunther has only lost one title match, and his challenger for Wrestlemania 41 knows all too well about Der General’s dominance in the ring in title matches. But will that come to an end later this month?

The other side of the fight is that Jey Uso gets another opportunity to break Gunther’s in-ring dominance over him. This matchup is not a new one, and fans are already getting tired of watching Jey almost do it but eventually lose to Gunther. There is a feeling that this may be the last chance in a very long time for Jey to get one over his archnemesis. And if he finally does it, there is no better story than his long-sought-for victory inflicting Gunther’s only second title loss in his WWE career.

Maybe Jey Uso can finally repay fans for all the times he has let them down.
